The Goal of the project is to pilot a Central New England Food Hub Network through stakeholder research and in-person gatherings to determine the interest in and scope of a network.

  • Generate interest in network participation among food hubs, producers who distribute, and distributors within ~60 miles/ 1.5 hour drive of Brattleboro, Vermont.
  • Map existing delivery and distribution businesses and routes.
  • Identify gaps in product selection, logistical constraints, and recommendations to address them.
  • Build relationships and trust to develop next steps for the network.

In collaboration with Farm to Institution New England (FINE) and Cooperative Development Institute (CDI), we will host a convening of interested parties to gain greater understanding of the local food distribution landscape, identify gaps and opportunities and build relationships and hopefully new business deals.
